These beads stole my heart the moment I laid eyes on them. They are are called Imfibinga seeds (sometimes referred to as "Job's Tears") and are collected by the Zulu tribe in South Africa. They are found near the Mpumalanga river in KwaZulu Natal. They come from a tropical wild grass that has been gathered for centuries. The local Zulu tribe call them river beads. Once the seeds mature, they have a natural hole through the middle, but in order to create this bracelet, hand drilling was necessary.
